Our team are committed to delivering the highest standards of image quality, patient safety and care being the first hospital in New South Wales to implement Radiographer Commenting. In 2023 our radiographer team received a Highly Commended for their project submitted in the 2023 ACHS Quality Improvement Awards Clinical Excellence and Patient Safety category titled: Communicating for safety through radiographer commenting to improve patient outcomes and reduce error.

We are committed to ongoing education and evidence-based practice and happy to answer any questions you have about radiation exposure in general radiography including the use of lead shielding and radiation dose for common examinations. We see a variety of patients with complex medical needs wherever possible and we will tailor the examination to provide more comfort for you or your loved ones.

We accept walk ins at both our Parkway San Clinic Practice (Monday to Friday) and Sydney Adventist Hospital (7 days). If you are coming from your GP, our Parkway San Clinic location is highly recommended, it's a beautiful location solely dedicated to high quality outpatient services.

Please ensure you bring your referral on the day of your examination.

A tissue marker is a very small object that is inserted into the breast either at the time of a biopsy, or to mark a previously diagnosed abnormality. There are a number of different types of markers available and the radiologist uses the marker clip most suitable for your particular requirements. There are different materials used in the various markers that are available and the markers come in a variety of shapes. Different shapes are useful if there are multiple areas to be marked in the same breast.
